After buying a Garmin Nuvi 760 for christmas for almost 600 freaking dollars, I came to realize what an idiot I really am. This has got to be the newest most lucrative money making business I have ever seen, most retailers were marketing this unit during christmas 2007 for about 750 dollars. I found a little known authorized internet reseller who sold it to me for 579. I thought i was getting a good deal. I know, i’m a real big retard. Not a couple of months later this thing was selling for well under 500.

Amazon says they have sold thousands of these kindle devices, at $359.00 a piece.

I seriously doubt this. I think amazon is inflating these numbers. I could be wrong, but lets analyze all the facts here.

If you know me, you know I absolutely love and hate Widescreen LCD’s. Why?

Well, lets consider this. Widescreen displays have an aspect ratio of 16:9, instead of the beloved 4:3 aspect ratio.

Remember the good old days of 640×480, 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024, and finally, my favorite 1600×1200? Well, all those standard resolutions went out the window with widescreen LCD’s.

Now you’ve got really wierd resolutions and an even harder time comprehending what these resolutions mean, as far as real useable screen real estate.
