After buying a Garmin Nuvi 760 for christmas for almost 600 freaking dollars, I came to realize what an idiot I really am. This has got to be the newest most lucrative money making business I have ever seen, most retailers were marketing this unit during christmas 2007 for about 750 dollars. I found a little known authorized internet reseller who sold it to me for 579. I thought i was getting a good deal. I know, i’m a real big retard. Not a couple of months later this thing was selling for well under 500.

Amazon says they have sold thousands of these kindle devices, at $359.00 a piece.

I seriously doubt this. I think amazon is inflating these numbers. I could be wrong, but lets analyze all the facts here.

I’ve often argued that corporations as recognized by courts today act in a way that is totally irresponsible, because they abstract the feeling of personal responsibility of anyone who actually works for the corporation. While many act responsibly, morally and intelligently individually, masses tend to act under the tenet of mass psychology, an unruly, destructive and aggressive sort of animalistic group behavior.

According to the documentary by Mark Achbar, we don’t have to go very far to really figure out whats going on. Corporations are Psychopaths.

A MUST READ.

Neil Stephensons book:

In the beginning was the command line.

You can download the book there for free.

Here is an excerpt:

“The analogy between cars and operating systems is not half bad, and so let me run with it for a moment, as a way of giving an executive summary of our situation today.

How many of you agree with me that TSA Security is purely THEATRE and not real security.

Well, after undergoing a RANDOM SSSS scan on my last flight out of LOGAN International, I can tell you that the TSA ABSOLUTELY STINKS. During my random screening I was absolutely convinced that I would get a major beatdown and several charges pressed against me by what seems to be the Modern Day US equivalent of the Nazi Gestapo in 1944.

I was re-directed through multiple scanners, the bomb sniffer, the metal detector, back and forth they had me going, take off your shoes, no don’t take off your shoes, take your shoes off, put your shoes back on.

If you know me, you know I absolutely love and hate Widescreen LCD’s. Why?

Well, lets consider this. Widescreen displays have an aspect ratio of 16:9, instead of the beloved 4:3 aspect ratio.

Remember the good old days of 640×480, 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024, and finally, my favorite 1600×1200? Well, all those standard resolutions went out the window with widescreen LCD’s.

Now you’ve got really wierd resolutions and an even harder time comprehending what these resolutions mean, as far as real useable screen real estate.

So, im home this morning, looking at my bank account : 12 dollars. I say damn, let me transfer some money from savings so i dont get overdrawn. I’m in the wierd period of the month in between paychecks, those first few days after paying the heavy part of my bills.  Also i went shopping and bought a bunch of stuff.  so I transfer 250.00 dollars from savings through my Ms Money, which will submit the transfer as if directly from the BOA website. These transfers are usually IMMEDIATE, not this time.

I get home at around 6:15pm, not an hour ago, and see no less than 4 , thats right four 35(thirty five) dollar charges to my account all back to back, and im thinking, some merchant accidently ran through 4 charges for the same 35.00 item that i bought, of course, what else could it be? I had just transfered 250.00 dollars into this account a few hours earlier. For the life of me I couldnt remember what i had bought for exactly $35.00?  Mysterious,
